Our Story

“A dream of ten years comes true and the life of an authentic family of faith is birthed in ways that can only be attributed to the astounding grace of God!”

After spending years serving in the local church and being involved in urban/inner city missions and ministry, God brought this dream to fruition in Sumter, SC.

This church basically evolved out of a homeless shelter, then to Bible studies in a local park, to hot dogs and outreach that combined those who are more resourced able to fellowship with the under resourced in our city.  A house was acquired to disciple the homeless, more Bible studies took place along with more outreach and fellowship and out of all of that Calvary Sumter and 323! Missions emerge because of and by the very grace of God.

By God’s grace the church is healthy, loving and committed to discipleship and missions.

The worship gathering atmosphere is relaxed, the teaching is verse by verse and the worship is fresh and contemporary.  The ministry focus in local missions and seeking how the family of faith can engage our own city on a day-by-day basis.

It is a tremendous honor to be a part of a church movement that maintains a  heart for the less fortunate and a committed focus on the Bible being the inerrant Word of God.

This type of ministry and movement remains relevent in our culture today because of the continued emphasis on solid Bible teaching and how that translates into lives obedient to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We are honored to be a part of this continuation in the history of the Church and pray that all we do finds us faithfully serving Jesus in Sumter, SC – “…teaching the Bible and loving the city!”
